The Italian Plastic wines are a relatively new range from the ever-creative South Australian producer Alpha Box & Dice.
The Pinot/Pinot fruit comes from 2 vineyards. 1 located in Mt Jagged, Fleurie and the other in Krondorf, Barossa Valley. Fruit was hand-picked with a portion crushed and a portion left as whole bunches. Wild fermented, Basket pressed then aged in steel tanks. This wine punches well above its price point. Notes of pickled cherry, forest floor and exotic spices. It’s soft & velvety on the palate yet juicy, bright and lively.
