We are extremely excited to be releasing a brand new wine under our Good Juice label!The 2024 Good Juice ‘Yellow’ is a light & bright skin contact white blend which is a particularly special cuvée in the range created as a collaboration between Mr West/Bar Spontana x Good Measure x Delinquente Wine Co.Vintage 2024 in the Riverland was just about the perfect vintage. Warm but not too hot, and bone dry during the growing season, which was a welcome change from the past couple of years, allowing the fruit to ripen steadily. Meanwhile, cool nights kept acids and freshness high. All fruit used is certified organic.Delinquente’s Con-Greg vinified each parcel separately, all wild fermented with no additions other than a small amount of sulphur. Mr West/Bar Spontana’s Josh & Caleb and Good Measure’s Max then headed to SA for a post ferment blending session with Con-Greg where they trialled many combinations and proportions of the different wines until they came up with a perfectly balanced blend.The final wine is made up of 5 different parts consisting of a generous portion of 5 week skin contact Arinto with elevage in 1200L Slovenian foudre, a good dose of 8 day skin contact Malvasia with elevage in neutral French barriques, a little 4 hour skin contact Bianco d’Alessano, a small portion of direct pressed Arinto and finally a little splash of direct pressed Vermentino. The result is a hyper aromatic tropical party starter. Juicy pineapple, peach, banana passionfruit, citrus blossom, salted white grapefruit, light slatey minerality. Lightly textured with zippy acidity finishing with a lovely lick of salinity. Who’s thirsty?
