Valentine Wines is a independently owned winery based in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. Led by Dominic Valentine, who honed his craft learning from the pros all over the world, from Western Australia to France and Germany, before returning to Melbourne and starting Valentine Wines in 2011. He sources fruit from local vineyards as well as varietals from Heathcote, and has made a name for himself for producing wines reflecting site specific characteristics and honouring the nuances of the area.

The Lower Yarra Pinot uses fruit from the Vue on Halycon vineyard (in Victoria’s Lower Yarra Valley). Older vines, planted in 1982 and dry-grown on rich black basaltic soil. Dom uses traditional wine making methods with minimal intervention and handling. This wine sees 9 months maturation in French oak hogsheads and is a true representation of the site.
