Cantina Giardino wines are brought to life by Antonio & Daniela De Gruttola who seek out & work with old vineyards (50+ years) in Irpinia, high in the volcanic soil rich hills of Campania. They champion the region’s native varietals such as Aglianico, Coda de Volpe, Greco & Fiano. All vineyards are farmed organically by hand and the winemaking is done with a very hands-off approach to really showcase the areas incredible terroir. All wines are fermented naturally without temperature control.
This exceptional amber wine is a blend of Falanghina , Coda di Volpe and a hint of Greco. After spending four days on skins, the grapes were pressed and left to rest for six months in concrete. The result is a wine that delights with subtle mineral notes and stone fruits, balanced by just the perfect amount of tannic texture and a crisp, salty finish.
