Black And Blue. What. A. Sour. From first sip to tear-filled last, this was astonishing. This Berliner Weisse was made with blackcurrants and blueberries, and approximately 840 metric tons of them, or my tongue is a sordid liar. This brew starts sweet, and is almost jammy and thick with forest fruits. The climbing sweetness is politely asked to settle down by a jaw-tinglingly sourness in the middle, which refreshes the palate without stealing the show. The finish though is the star here, which comes in the form of a long-lasting berry compote, with a subtle touch of salt, and a longing goodbye. One of the best sours I’ve ever had, and a lesson in berry-fruited Berliner Weisse. – Duckpond
