Venetian wine made by three brothers: Marco, Daniele and Andrea Filippini. Together they farm their 4 hectares organically, working with native grape varietals. Following minimal intervention farming and winemaking practices and with very little manipulation in the cellar, they strive to make sure each wine is distinctly terroir driven. All their wines are wild fermented with native yeast, unfined, unfiltered, and have very minimal amounts of sulfur addition when necessary.
The 2022 Occhio Al Biancho is made from Incrocio Manzoni, Bronner, Durella, and Garganega. Medium bodied and dry, still nice and juicy with notes of passionfruit, mango, pineapple, and orange citrus, and more sublte touches of vanilla. The wines rest in barrels, concrete, and steel and the ageing process adds a very well-integrated oak note. Plus some excellent acid that lends structure, and a long fresh finish.
