Dom Valentine has made wine with some of Germany’s leading producers. Now he explores lessons learnt when crafting wines from Victoria’s vineyards.
This Pinot Noir was made with grapes from his Lone Star Creek vineyard in Victoria’s Upper Yarra Valley, planted in 1998 with MV6 clone on yellow duplex clay soils. Traditional methods with minimal intervention were used to create a modern Australian style of pinot noir that will reward cellaring.
Notes of graphite, spice and dark fruits, with a fine tannin – a delicious cool climate pinot.
