Absolutely fantastic example of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir despite the tiny yields. We were lucky enough to have a puncheon that was empty so a portion of this has spent some time in some used French Oak – lucky us! It’s produced a wine that really speaks to this variety in the hills – bright and beautifully primary fruited.
Lovely earthy, porcini mushroom aromatics, backed up by bright raspberry and blackberry bramble, with a beautiful Chinese five-spice lift. It’s glorious drinking – it’s a mixed berry bash, with vibrant black cherry and some pomegranate freshness. Textbook Pinot from our backyard that is effortlessly drinkable.
