SOMOS (Spanish for “we are”) is the project of Mexican-born winemaker Mauricio Ruiz Cantú, who made his way to South Australia after studying viticulture and oenology. The wines are all about climate-appropriate Mediterranean varieties, minimal intervention winemaking, and bright, food-friendly styles that are easy to enjoy. They work with sustainably farmed, organic and biodynamic vineyards across McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, producing wines that are fresh, expressive and really fun to drink.
