We’ve long been enamoured by the old world expressive, fermentation-focused ales of Belgium. Our brewery’s beginnings were built on championing and exploring the old world styles that originated in this part of Europe.

Following from this obsession, we’ve long loved weighty yet highly drinkable traditional blonde ales. Blonde ales offer a beautiful balance of body and complex character, while still leaving you with a bright, refreshed feeling on the palate. So we decided to make one.

Using a simple malt base of Australian malted barley and wheat, we brewed this blonde ale with no temperature control. This method has allowed the esters to shine, bringing depth of flavour and complex aromas. We fermented it dry enough to ensure refreshment, while maintaining a familiar mouthfeel synonymous with this European ale style.

Top-note sweet aromatics give way to a solid mouthfeel with bright lemon citrus notes and a light acidity. A smooth and refreshingly dry yet approachable drinking experience. Santé! – La Sirene
