Sakurajima Komikan are a type of satsuma mandarin grown on Sakurajima, an active volcano in Kagoshima, Japan. The fruit, roughly four centimetres wide, is the world’s smallest mandarins. Harvesting of these juicy, sweet mandarins signals the start of the cool winter season in kagoshima. Komasa Gin is made at Komasa Jyozo, a distillery with a long and distinguished history. We craft our gin by redistilling our famous rice shochu and infusing this higher strength spirit with juniper berries and a special selection of botanicals. – Komasa Jyozo
