Known mostly as simply Delirium, actually brewed under brewery Huyghe at Appelhoek in Melle, Belgium. The earliest evidence of brewing at this site dates as far back as 1654, with Léon Huyghe coming on board in 1904, and being joined by his son in 1925. It is still in the Huyghe family, under careful custodianship by the fourth generation.
The Delirium Red is a strong fruited beer, it has a soft fruity aroma, with hints of almond and mildly sour cherries. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with a nice balance between sweet and sour. An excellent dessert beer.
