Tim Ward, originally from Brisbane before moving down to Melbourne to pursue wine studies. After studying, he moved around the world working everywhere from Priorat in Spain, Hawkes Bay and Martinborough in New Zealand, St Estephe in Bordeaux, France and finally in the Yarra Valley in Victoria.
The 2024 Bianco is 100% Vermentino, from Chalrmers Merbein vineyard. Hand picked, destemmed, and wild ferment on skins for 2 days. The fruit is then pressed to tank to complete fermentation, racked to puncheons, rested for 3 months in barrel, then finally racked to bottle.
Big hazy peach iced tea vibes here with a refreshing mouthful of meyer lemon sorbet. So fresh and delicious.
