The Barbera d’Alba is an approachable, varietal wine with upfront fruit sweetness that makes it instantly enjoyable. The grapes come from 1.8 hectares of vineyards in Annunziata, just a kilometre from the Revello homestead and carry the signature red fruited core of the Revello wines, in a more relaxed and open knit frame as is custom for Barbera. This wine has an almost revered following here which is understandable, this has many of the hallmarks of great red wine from Barolo but without the price tag. – Importers Notes
