100% whole bunch pinot noir from the granite soils of the Upper Yarra Valley. We started working with Marc Lunt because we heard on the grapevine (pun intended) that someone was making Aligoté in Victoria that rivals that of those made in burgundy, and the rumours were true!! Marc’s wines have quickly become staff picks at Mr West and this year we were excited to see the release of his Pinot Noir. The 2020 Terrason Pinot Noir is a pretty, delicate drop. However, this should come as no surprise considering Marc’s résumé.

On first impressions, Mark is a quiet, well-spoken gentleman. However, despite his humble charm, Mark has spent time working in some of the most prestigious wineries in the world, including France’s Domaine de la Romanee Conti (or DRC) who around renowned as one of the world’s greatest (and least accessible) producers of Pinot Noir.

Mark’s 2020 Yarra Valley Pinot Noir is made using 100% whole bunch fruit, from vines grown on granite soils which help produce a wine that we believe reflects Mark himself – understated, unassuming and a gift that truly keeps on giving. – Mr West
