With crops down in 2020, we sent the messenger pigeons far and wide for new fruit sources. They came back with (the usual) Sangiovese, Nero d’Avola and Pinot Nero. A Brunello clone of Sangiovese from Ashton dominates the blend, giving more structure than previous years, whilst the Nero and Pinot soften and provide fruit flavour.
