maison LAPALUS syrah 2017 : Grown in Guilford (Macedon GI) from 22 years old vines on very rocky (schist) soil, the syrah grapes were picked in early April. 60% whole bunch fermentation with low intervention, the grapes were pressed after 18 days on skin. The wine finished fermentation in french oak barrel, and was matured in the same barrels for 12 months. Bottling in April with a small addition of sulfur (20ppm). – Maison Lapalus
