The Fruitful Grenache is a modern take on the variety, this wine always produces incredible fruit up front, it ticks the box for a lot of wine drinkers as it has nice layers of concentration on the back pallet but still fresh and vibrant, this is what the name resembles. 2023 was a vintage for the ages in the Clare Valley for us. It was the third Lanina in a row, which lead to a late harvest starting in March, with big crops. The great thing was even know we had big crops the quality of fruit was still outstanding. Grenache picked on the 20th March, it is always one of the first reds we pick. 23 brought big bunches that had great intensity of fruit flavour but still being light on its feet. This wine jumps from the glass – pretty red fruits, cherries, raspberries mixed with subtle floral notes. On the palate it is light and juicy up front with flavours of blackcurrant and raspberries, which fills out into the mid palate. This wine has a gentle tannin structure and nice weight. If you like Pinot Noir we think you will like this wine as an alternate. – Gullyview Estate
