Claus Preisinger first started making wine as a hobby with his dad at a neighbouring winemakers, this very shortly turned in to his life calling. In 2004 he was one of the founding members of the Pannobile group of winemakers, working to preserve traditional winemaking methods in Burgenland.
Claus is deeply committed to working in harmony with nature, and has been certified biodynamic since 2009. Spearheading a group of young Austrian winemakers in working with Indigenous varietals, and keeping cellar interventions to a minimum, strongly advocating for wines that achieve balance naturally.
50% Blaufränkisch, 25% Cabernet Franc, 25% Syrah from a blend of recently planted vineyards around Gols. Short maceration and pressed to Amphora for elevage over 8 months.
