The “Heroes” vineyard has 8 acres of vine in the Otway Ranges, with Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and a new planting of Chardonnay. Roots grow deep into the subsoil and weathered rock material, and the vineyard is unirrigated, with an average annual rainfall of 780mm. The vines are 100% organically grown and the wines are made with minimal intervention, naturally reflecting the site or terroir.
2023 Pinot Meunier was fermented with a small portion of whole bunch and matured in French hogsheads, giving a big red fruit combo with a twist of herby goodness.
