When I first saw Shongauer’s engraving of St Anthony being tormented by devils, the image stuck with me. Years later I found out that some consider St Anthony the father of monasticism. Monks have produced great beers for centuries. So, if there was no St Anthony, we probably wouldn’t have such great Trappist ales today, and that would truly be a life of torment. Our Torment is a rich beer with lots of caramel, malt, dark fruit, and dark Belgian candi sugar notes. The lucsious fruity character is full of caramel apples, candied pears, and chocolate covered oranges. Please, enjoy responsibly. -Heretic Brewing Co.
