Lansdowne wines have been managing their vineyards since 1996, when the first vines were planted at Lansdowne Vineyard. Today, they have amassed 16 hectares of various grape varieties, including pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and pinot grigio. Embracing the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills with cold nights, and warm sunny days they have been able to lean in to a minimal intervention practice of cultivation. As of 2018 all their vines are managed using organic farming and sustainability values in order to improve soil health, vine resilience and wine quality.

New Pinot is made from organic Lansdowne pinot noir and a dash of K1 Kuipto gewürztraminer. They’re handpicked 1 day apart and carbonically fermented together for low tannin extraction and lifted aromatics. Creating a light, jubey wine with some herbacious and floral notes that is reminiscent of a Beaujolais Nouveau.
