Skins from 21 varieties “Les Petits Reins” vineyard in Basket Range (Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, Savagnin, Verdelho, Arneis, Gris, Aramon Noir, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, I am four varieties short) where added to the tank and macerated for 2 weeks. Gently pressed then left to settle in tank. Racked to a 7 year old barrique and hogshead to rest on fine lees. Bottled with no additions. Wildly aromatic! Ripe stone fruits, rhubarb and red apple and a gentle ginger like spice on the finish. Weird and wonderful! – Scintilla
