Bag in box – or as it is more commonly known, the “goon sack” – is one of the Riverlands most famous inventions, and we’ve decided it is time we did it the DLQ way. So, “High Crimes” is our limited edition box wine – 1.5 litres of premium quality DLQ wine, brought to you in the easily transportable, completely recyclable and environmentally friendly bag in box format.
And when we say limited edition, we mean it – the wines that make it into the box are super small production, distinctly separate to the other Delinquente and Hell wines, but sharing the same origin and ethos.
First up – Nero d’Avola, grown on the certified organic and biodynamic Bassham vineyard in Barmera. Nero thrives in the hot, dry Riverland, and absolutely shone in what was one of the toughest vintages we’ve seen. Here, we pick early to maintain freshness and zingy appeal, whilst letting the pure fruit expression of Nero d’Avola do the talking. The unmistakable pop of sour cherry and redskins is balanced by a savoury, aniseed quality, whilst the bristling tannin and crunchy acidity give length and structure.
