It’s always exciting when we hear of a new player in the Melbourne craft scene, but even more exciting when you find out they are gonna be specialising in some of our favourite styles of beer! Sobremesa is a passion project born of a love for farmhouse style beers and the brewing philosophies and ethos that is intrinsically connected to these styles. Our Daily Brett, their first release, is a Brett Saison that has gone through primary fermentation in neutral oak before being aged for 4 months on lees. A deep, earthy funk on the nose opens up to a delicate bouqet of honey, wildflowers, orange sherbert and pepper. Full, fluffy and almost silky on the palate with a subtle bitterness which would lend itself to food matching incredible well. Only 240 bottles of this first batch were made.
