This wine is made from Grenache from 80 year old vines planted in Rivesaltes. In 2022 Laurent made three passses through the vineyard on three different days, trying to pick the grapes at optimum ripeness. Each day’s pick was macerated in a different tank (for 4 days, 5 days or 6 days). They were pressed together. This mix of days of maceration perhaps explains why the 2022 vintage is lighter than the previous year so much so it could sit comfortably in the rosé section of the wine list. There is a little tannin from the maceration but only at the end of the palate. Aging was in stainless steel. ABV 12.5% – Suppliers notes
