Seven Oaks Farmhouse Cider is a small, 4th generation, family run orchard, where they hand process and press all their apples using traditional rack and cloth methods. The orchard, in Merricks North, has a large collection of English and French cider apple varietals that are used to make over 13 single variety farmhouse ciders and plenty more blends. With styles ranging from the traditional dry, funky flavours to sweet, fruity blends. We’ve picked a few of our absolute favourites to show the diversity of their range and of cider in Australia.
From the north country the Yarlington Mill is a famous bitter sweet cider apple. Producing a medium dry cider with soft tannins, which are balanced out nicely with sugars and acidity. Small bubbles, dark in colour, perfect with spicy foods.
