Imagine a down-and-out, recently divorced father living in 1970s Miami who’s working nights as a valet at a salubrious-yet-seedy night club, “Le Palms”, sashaying around home saying, “Hey kids, who’s got a cool 20 bucks they want to lend Dad so we can hit the drive-in?” Now imagine Pat embodying this character of cool uncle/dad all weekend whilst wearing a pink, 1980’s style Rip Curl ski jacket.
That should explain the name, but probably does little to explain the warming-yet-smooth maltiness and rich melon and pineapple flavours of this Double NEIPA. But that’s what you get when Pat writes the descriptions. Absolutely nothing to do with the beer, just an unnecessary diatribe of his weekend frivolities.
