Kyatt Dixon and his partner Anna make wines out of Mount Gambier, South Australia. There they organically farm Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay and Riesling, along with an heirloom apple and quince orchard. They also source a small amount of fruit from other organic and biodynamic growers in the region. Their production is small, from just 6 hectares, they make a handful of wines. Kyatt’s approach is organic farming, hand harvesting, wild fermentation, no adjustments, no fining, no filtration, and no additions, no new oak, no sulphur. His wines are well-made, meticulous, detailed and delicious.
The 2022 Pinot Noir is a robust and juicy, dark fruited wine from the volcanic soils of Eumeralla vineyards (Quillys). An expressive serious drop.
