Weingut Brand was established in 1891 as a mixed agriculture business of grapes and animals. Now comprising 18 hectares it is run by 5th-generation young gun brothers Daniel and Jonas Brand who took over in 2014. Since 1994 the farming had been managed without the use of herbicides or pesticides, but in 2015 the brothers converted all 18 hectares to full organics, with official certification granted in 2018.
A Riesling Kabinett Trocken from the Brand Brothers is about as traditional as this duo gets. Made from fully ripened grapes, this wine has been fermented till completely dry. Riesling made with a natural oxidative style. Classic pure citrus, with a touch of lightly poached pear and ginger spice. Textured chalky fruit mouthfeel with acid drive keeping it fresh, tight and smashable.
