At Frankly we like all of our white wines to have lots of texture and complexity, in other words they have to have fullness, which is what the full lees ageing in oak has achieved in this instance. It’s important to not overdo the lees character in a wine or you end up making a wine with zero drinkability, so this is early picked to have enough acidity to make this wine refreshing whilst being complex. This is a 50/50 blend of chardonnay from Rosnay vineyard at Canowindra & Sauvignon Blanc from Cargo Road vineyard in Orange. Both are straight whole bunch pressed to old french oak barriques. Aged for 12 months in barrel. – Frankly, This Wine Was Made By Bob
