German Riesling of this quality is almost impossible to find at such an affordable price point.
The 50° reference in the name comes from the location of the vineyards where the grapes for this wine are grown. The 50th degree of latitude runs through the center of the Rheingau region. There are many different types of German Riesling with ‘Trocken’ being a dry style. The palate is dominated by mineral crisp green apple and lime with a hint of white peach in the background. The acidity is spot on and balanced beautifully by a tiny touch of viscosity giving the wine great palate weight & mouthfeel.
