Cantina Giardino was born with the intent to protect and preserve the region’s native varietals, old vines and traditional training systems.
Coda di Volpe Rosso from Montemarano and Paternopoli, on clay soils at 450m abs. About two days maceration on skins in porcelain vessels, then ageing in the same vessels for about a year. 2018 was a cooler vintage and the wine is less structured than usual but extremely sexy with hints of blood orange and a lovely distinctive spicy finish. -Giorgio De Maria
