Muscle, spice and fruit. This is a true central victorian red wine from a year that showcased the region at its best. A deeply satisfying blend of barrel aged Nero D’Avola grown by Chalmers in Colbinabbin and Cabernet Sauvignon from Glenwillow vineyard in Yandoit, vinified separately. 2018 was the perfect year for ripe and generous reds and this wine provides a really solid summary. Big ripe fruit and tannin, extracted long and gently then aged in old oak casks over 13 months. This is very much an any day of the week red….primary enough to be hoovered, complex enough to settle in with. Bottled in July 2019 with a small sulphur addition. Have fun with this. – Boomtown
