Terada Honke have been brewing sake continuously for over 340 years. Predominantly using the traditional Kimoto and Yamahai starter methods, with only natural yeasts, creating a name for themselves for making truly unique Sake.
This Daigo no Shizuku is a very unique Sake. It is produced using the Bodaimoto method, developed by the monks in Bodaisen Shoyarku-ji, a temple in Nara Prefecture. It is considered to be the origin of all sake today.
Flavours of pickled ume fruit, citrus and sweet notes, with a lively and refreshing finish. Cloudy and wild in a way too. It’s a big hit of umami, savoury as can be yet finishes clear and gently sweet, then mouthwatering with acidity.
