Mr West Bar And Bottleshop is one of the new wave of bars that’s been opening up recently in Footscray, and brings another craft beer spot to a part of town already lucky enough to have great craft beer at places like Bar Josephine, Up In Smoke, and Fox In The Corn. The former $2 shop has been stripped back to its bones, and features a bottle shop downstairs, and bar upstairs. The upstairs bar features exposed concrete and timber, and upcycled furniture across a variety of seating and table options. It’s spacious, airy, and casual, and there’s also a rooftop courtyard.

The brains behind Mr West are Caleb Baker and Josh Hodges, who both have a hospitality and sales rep background. They know their stuff, and can be found tending the bar as well as making sure its stocked with only the good stuff. Across the 24 taps you’ll find not only great craft beer but also cider, wine and cocktails.
