This cuvee opens with some faint and attractive lees qualities giving way to really delicious and appealing golden fruit. The palate is very long. There is a distinct savoury quality to the fruit thanks to the varietal composition of the wine and the minerality here has a lightness and give the wine a texture like a pane of glass. I find the type of schist here in Banyuls certainly gives minerality to the wines but the warm slate also seems to allow the wines to ripen fast enough for them to simultaneously sing of the sun. The texture is glossy and round and I would certainly recommend this as white wine for winter and to have with a meal. This is brilliant white wine, very pure, very correct and of extremely high quality.
