Laureano Serres is considered one of Catalunya’s natural wine pioneers. It has always been essential to Laureano to farm organically. It was forgetting to add SO2 in the 2002 vintage that opened his mind to the possibilities of wines without additions. He now farms six hectares scattered around El Pinell and Terra Alta ranging from 170 to 500 metres above sea level.Alongside making delicious wine, Laureano is also a co-founder of the Brutal Wine Corporation and founded one of Europe’s most talked about wine fairs, H2O Vegetal where organic farmers and natural winemakers come from all over the world to taste and share their stories.

Very evocative, perfumed red shows scents of alpine herbs, ferrous minerality, game meat and red berries. Juicy and bright in the palate with last second pucker of tannin and swish of amaro-strong acidity. Such a lovely, pure-feeling red, vivacious and crisp, so charismatic and thirst-quenching.

20 year old Grenache from El Pinell de Barri, Carigan from 35 year old vines from Terra Alta. The Grenache had a few days maceration, the Carigan was directly pressed and both juices went together into a single barrel gifted by Laureano’s friend Thierry Puzelat.
