This is exceptionally delicious. Jordi Llorens is one of the nicest people you’ll meet and is the eighth generation of his family to farm this vineyard.
He is based in Conca de Barbera, about an hour directly west of Barcelona and his vineyards grow on some really quite special soil. The terroir here is largely limestone based which gives the wines inherently high acidity and drinkability. The 2018 Blan d’Anzera is a blend of macabeo and moscatel, is medium bodied, dry, super fresh and super, super delicious. – Words by Campbell Burton
